Q. What is the difference between Shared SSL and Private SSL?

. Shared SSL displays as https://ip/~yourusername/ or https://rezzo.websitewelcome.com/~username/.  Private SSL would display as https://www.yourdomain.com in the address bar.

 
Q. How do I purchase a Private SSL from you and what type is it?
A. You can purchase a Private SSL Certificate from us known as RapidSSL by going to our Billing & Support site, clicking on the Order link, then clicking on the Private SSL Certificate link.

Usuage: RapidSSL is an ideal solution for securing websites conducting lite levels of ecommerce.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to add a Private SSL Certificate you MUST be on the Business or Business Pro hosting plan, NOT the Personal or Business Lite plan. If you are on either of the last two plans mentioned you will need to upgrade your hosting account one level. You can do that from within the Client Area of this system after you logged in.

Q. I'm going to purchase my own ssl what do I need to know?
A.
Our servers are Apache + Mod SSL.  There will be a $10.00 fee for us to install the certificate on your account. We will need both the private key and the csr (certificate signing request). You will also need a dedicated IP address for your account, and depending on which hosting account you are currently on you may need to upgrade your account to the Business or Business Pro account.
 

Q. How do I transfer a ssl?
A. Every place that sells ssl certificates has a different transfer procedure. You will need to ask the supplier you purchased it from.
