You must name your home page file either "index.html" or "index.htm" or "index.php". Be sure to name everything in lowercase, not "INDEX.HTM". Also, this file must be located in your /public_html directory, so you will need to go into this directory first when you FTP into your account.
The server actually looks for a file named "index.html" before it looks for "index.htm". So if your index file ends in .htm and you can't figure why our default "under construction" page loads every time you look at your website, all you need to do is erase our "index.html" file and your "index.htm" file will display itself.
