In order to connect to your website with the FTP program FileZilla you will first need to download and install the program, if you have not already done so. The downalod page for FileZilla is located here.

To get your FTP program connecting to your hosting account you need several key peices of information.

Host: yourdomain.com  (or IP address)
Port:  21
Logontype:  Normal
Username:  (your account username)
Password:  (your account password)
Default remote directory:  /public_html

Once you have FileZilla installed click on the FileZilla icon to start it and once open click on File, then SiteManager. Under Select Entry: click on My Sites, then click the New Site button. Next you will need to enter your hosting account information so the FTP program will be able to connect to your hosting account.

Under the General tab you will see Host:.  In that text box type in your domain name with NO http://www.  Just put in:  yoursite.com (and of course you would specify your own domain name that you are hosting with us. In the Port: text box type in the number: 21.  Next to Logontype: select Normal from the dropdown menu. Then enter the username and password for your hosting account which was sent to you in the new account setup email.

Now click the Advanced tab next to the General tab and in the text box labeled Default remote directory type in the following:

/public_html

Now simply click the Connect button to connect to your hosting account.  Once connected you will notice that the left side of the screen displays the files on your local computer. While the right side of the screen displays the files and folders on your hosting account.  To copy your website files from your computer to your hosting account simply locate your files on the left side of the screen and then select the files and/or folders you want to upload, then drag and drop them over to the right side of the screen. You can also right click on the select files on the left side of the screen and then click on Upload and it will do the same thing to upload the selected files to your hosting account.
